With Google's new mobile OS iteration  Android Oreo  now official, the first eligible devices such as the Pixel and Nexus smartphones have already started receiving it. One of the nifty features of the stock Android package is Google's own launcher that's now known as Pixel Launcher, after it was rebranded from Nexus Launcher last year. The Pixel Launcher in Android Oreo comes with more improvements and features, but is only confined to Pixel and Nexus devices. However, the modified Pixel Launcher that worked for a range of devices has now been updated with Android Oreo features and is now available. The modified Pixel Launcher (version 2.1) has been developed by AmirZ, who was also responsible for breaking the exclusivity of Pixel Launchers and made them available for entire eligible range of Android smartphones in June this year. The Pixel Launcher version 2.1 brings a multitude of Android Oreo features like coloured notifications dots, ability to swipe down for

WhatsApp adds text-based Status update in new version

Image
WhatsApp Text-Based Updates WhatsApp has updated its Status feature to allow users to just post text-based updates for their friends to see. Instead of having a photo or video as your status, you can now just type text or insert a URL. Users will be able to customize the color of the font and the background. WhatsApp Status was originally a feature where users only had text based status messages that would be visible next to their names in the contacts list. After Facebook caught the Snapchat Story bug and decided to copy it into everything, the humble WhatsApp Status feature was upgraded to have Instagram (or rather Snapchat) style stories where users could upload images or videos for their friends to see.Now this feature includes text based status updates. As with regular Status stories, you can choose who can see the text status and also see who has seen your message.

Speaking of pictures, it looks like an  iPhone 7s Plus   dummy unit has been captured in live images. One of the  smartphones  that will be announced by  Apple  in September, the  iPhone  7s Plus has a  glass back instead of “standard” aluminum . The overall design of the iPhone 7s Plus is not much different from the current model, although we aren't offered a look at the front side of the flagship.  The glass back comes in line with  previous reports  claiming the  iPhone 7s  and iPhone 7s Plus will feature wireless inductive charging, which will allow users to use a charger pad instead of a Lightning cable to recharge their phones. The glass back is meant to help make this new wireless inductive c
