  • OnePlus launched its flagship smartphone OnePlus 5T in November last year. A new variant of the OnePlus 5T, listed by an established online retailer for sales beginning Friday, January 5, is described as 'White Sandstone' confirming reports from last week. OnePlus has previously released two other special variants of the OnePlus 5T - the Star Wars edition and the Lava Red edition.

  • According to a listing on JD.com, bookings for a new White Sandstone variant of the OnePlus 5T will commence on Friday, January 5 at 10am CST (9:30pm IST). According to a loose translation of the listing page (in Chinese), there will be limited stock available for sale. Only the 8GB RAM/ 128GB inbuilt storage variant will be sold. No price has been listed yet. The listing comes just a day after OnePlus' Twitter account had posted a teaser video for the Sandstone variant. The listing was first spotted by GSMArena.
  • The JD.com listing also confirms the fact that the OnePlus 5 Sandstone variant will be available in White colour; a black colour variant is still under speculation. The Sandstone Black back panel was last seen on the OnePlus One and OnePlus 2, after which the Chinese phone maker shifted to a metal finish.
